Storm over the pacific 1960 youtube. Updated UTF-8 Charset Implementation Due to security concerns, the UTF-8 charset implementation in the JRE has been updated to handle the non-shortest form of UTF-8 byte sequences, and this introduces an incompatibility from previous releases.
For example, the byte sequence of 0xc0 0xaf for U+002f, which has the shortest form of 0x2f, is a malformed input to the decoding operation. More details regarding the Non-shortest form of UTF-8 can be found at:. OpenSolaris is Now Supported Note that fonts for Asian locales currently are not supported. Refer to for details. Windows Runtime Environment Installation (Patch-in-place vs. Static) As of JDK 6u10, patch-in-place installation is the default, and the JRE installs itself in a directory called jre6. Previously, it would have installed itself in a directory called jre1.6.010.
That is, by default, the jre6 directory is patched with the updated version. You can chose to statically install a JRE (for example, either 6u10 or 6u11) by means of the installer interface. Hi Bill, I understand how frustrating it can be when things do not work as expected. What error messages pops up? I would suggest you to follow these methods and check if it helps. Method 1: Run Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue. Press Windows key + W. Type Troubleshooting without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.
Select View all option from the left panel. Select Internet Explorer performance. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter. Method 2: For Java add-on issue, I would suggest you to complete remove Java from the PC and reinstall it.
How do I uninstall Java on my Windows computer? How do I install Java online for Internet Explorer? Method 3: If Java add-on does not work and if you are still receiving other issues with Internet Explorer then, I would suggest you to reset Internet Explorer settings to it's default and check the issue. Change or reset Internet Explorer settings (also applicable for IE11) Important: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature. Resetting Internet Explorer isn't reversible, and all previous settings are lost after reset.

Let us know if it helps. If the issue persists, please reply, we will be happy to help you. I had previously don't Methods 2 and 3 so I tried Method 1. Nothing found, but then for the most part IE's 'behaving' for now. Here's what's so frustrating. I do the crossword and a couple of other 'brain exercises' on Pogo.com most mornings. Twice recently I have been on Pogo.com, everything working fine.
I've gotten up to go downstairs - once turning the computer off and the other leaving it waiting on me. Both times when I returned the Pogo site would come up but any of the games using Java would no longer work. Now that's a sign something was 'pushed' or some other modification made but in both cases the message was I should check my Java. I did, it was the latest, but in the interest of being thorough, I completely removed Java and reinstalled.
Both times that did not work. So I moved on. To my surprise, well beginning to be the 'norm' rather than the exception, I signed into Pogo to do the crossword and everything worked as it should. I searched the Pogo discussions and found TONS of comments about this problem but no solutions other than 'reinstall Java' etc. Something that still exists, however, is when checking Manage Add-Ons in IE, the Status of quite a number of them is Incompatible, including Java and even Norton's. I cannot recall what this was prior to IE 10 and 11, and Windows 8, because I rarely had a need to check it.
'Incompatible' is a difficult word to accept! I was pretty frustrated by not being able to access Java while using Internet Explorer 11 while being able to access it in Google chrome. I tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it checking the java control panel numerous times to verify that java was enabled in my browser. I disabled and enabled the java add-ons several times. I also clicked on the drop down box to 'show all add-ons and right clicked on java run time environment and clicked more information then clicked on allow on all sites but it still didn't work until I went into tools, internet options and clicked on the security tab and saw that my security had been running under 'custom level' I clicked on default level which reset all zones to default level and Java is now working with IE11. I don't know if this will resolve your problem but I just kept at it until I found a solution that worked for me.
